    • In compliance with the letter of 26 December 2016 from the Director General, cases of infection with highly pathogenic influenza A viruses in birds other than poultry, including wild birds, detected since 1 January 2017 are notified in WAHIS to the OIE using the new disease name "Highly pathogenic influenza A viruses (infection with) (non-poultry including wild birds)".
    • According to article 10.4.1.8 of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Member Countries should not impose bans on the trade in poultry and poultry commodities in response to notification on the presence of any influenza A virus in birds other than poultry.
