China reported twenty-four human cases of H7N9 influenza from April 28 to May 4 2017 in 12 province

___

Beijing, 5 May (Reporter Dong Zichang) China National Health Commission on the 5th issued a message that, from April 28, 2017 to May 4, China's 12 provinces reported twenty four human cases of H7N9 influenza of which nine fatal.

Reporter noted with respect the week from April 21 to April 27 there were 18 cases, and 3 deaths, the number of cases increased, but the overall activity remained at a low.

So far the H7N9 virus does not seem to efficiently pass from person-to-person and that early use of neuraminidase inhibitors and other anti-influenza virus drugs can effectively reduce the incidence of severe cases.
