Yunnan reported an imported fatal case of H7N9 avian flu

Feb. 9, from the Yunnan Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission was informed that one case from Jiangxi Shangrao back to Yunnan severe cases detected H7N9 virus nucleic acid-positive, diagnosed as imported H7N9 avian influenza cases.

(Xinhua News Agency)  / Kunming, 9 February (Xinhua) A Patient died after hospitalization, the person has not found the situation.

According to the Yunnan Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission reported that the country is in the H7N9 epidemic season, the Yunnan Provincial Health Family Planning Commission in monitoring, from 1 case from Jiangxi Shangrao back to Yunnan in a severe condition, detected H7N9 virus nucleic acid positive specimens sent to China CDC Review, test results are consistent. According to expert consultation, clinical manifestations, laboratory test results and epidemiological investigation, diagnosed as imported H7N9 cases.

The case was a child, female, 3 years 4 months, January 21 with the parents to the Spring Festival in Jiangxi Province, contact  with live poultry, January 29 incidence, February 1 in the local treatment, February 5 from Jiangxi Shangrao Back to Yunnan, Kunming Medical University First Affiliated Hospital, February 7 by the full rescue invalid death.

At present, close contact with the children of five families of H7N9 virus nucleic acid test were negative, all close contacts were not abnormal, no human transmission of the situation.
