China, Shandong reported one human case of H7N9 #Influenza


On May 12, Liaocheng City reported a case of unexplained pneumonia, who died despite treatment efforts. By the city CDC detection and by the provincial CDC review, it was confirmed that the patient was infected with H7N9 avian influenza virus.

The patients was a male, 41 years old, Shandong Yanggu resident.

After the incident, the local party committee and government attach great importance to Yanggu County immediately launched a contingency plan, epidemiological survey of close contacts, medical observation; at the same time close the relevant live poultry market, to strengthen the epidemiological survey and monitoring of poultry.

At present, patient’s close contacts showed no symptoms.
