China, Hubei reported a fatal case of H7N9 influenza in Wuhan


Avian flu news from the Wuhan City Emergency Office yesterday evening issued a news, Jiangxia District, Wuhan City, a case of human infection H7N9avian influenza treatment was ineffective and the patient passed away.

On April 21, in the Jiangxia District, Wuhan City a female resident, 68 years old, because fever did not subside after self-medication, on April 23 rushed to the near private outpatient  clinic for treatment. On Apr. 25 she went to the Hubei Provincial People's Hospital. On April 27 at 13:00 to Hubei Provincial People's Hospital for received test results positive for H7N9 influenza. On Apr. 28 Wuhan City CDC confirmed the avian influenza H7N9 case. On April 30 despite the treatment the patient died.

Informed that the leaders of Hubei Province, Wuhan City, people infected with avian flu prevention and control work attaches great importance to the first time to make instructions, arrangements. Hubei Province, the city CDC has organized the relevant departments to conduct on-site investigation, taken to the deceased close contact with the staff before the home isolation observation, the sale of live poultry near the point of disinfection and tracing the source of the virus and other measures.
